EXCERPT: “Closings of Twin Cities home sales fell for the fifth month in a row in April, down 5.2 percent from a year earlier, according to data from the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors. New home sales provided a bright spot, with closings in that subsector up 13.2 percent from a year ago, according to MAAR’s April market report. Existing single-family home sales — which accounted for 73 percent of April closings — fell by 5.6 percent.
