EXCERPT: “Addressing both needs and opportunities in Rochester, a Minneapolis-based nonprofit dedicated to helping single mothers and their children rise from poverty is expanding into the city with a 40-unit housing and supportive services project. The Jeremiah Program, which has existing facilities in the Twin Cities and other locations, said Wednesday it has selected Weis Builders as its contractor. The plan is to start construction in June or July at the intersection of 19th Street Northwest and Valleyhigh Drive in Rochester. Project backers say the three-story, 64,000-square-foot complex will address a big need for affordable and supportive housing in southeast Minnesota, and train people for jobs created by the $5 billion Destination Medical Center initiative.” FULLSTORY: http://bit.ly/2UEFXYo
